2021 IRC Essentials (.6CEU)
Speaker: Jessica Sorensen
This 6-hour seminar examines basic concepts of the 2021 International Residential Code. These concepts provide a basis for the correct utilization of the code. A clear understanding of the identified requirements allows the code user to apply the IRC in specific situations and helps to build an understanding of the intent of the code when asked to make a judgment on code compliance. This course will also help the code user to correctly locate code requirements. It will also provide a basis for the correct use and application of the code as well as to begin to develop a procedure for applying them.

2021 IMC Essentials (.6CEU)
Speaker: Bill Hudson
This 6-hour seminar covers the concepts of the mechanical code. It familiarizes building officials, plans examiners, inspectors and design professionals with the structure of the International Mechanical Code. It assists code users in identifying the specific code concepts and how to better interpret the code. Finally, it focuses on those code concepts that will most impact the code professional on their jobs.

Lodging Information:
Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. Our host hotel is the TownePlace Suites New Orleans Metairie, located .5 miles and a just a 3-minute drive from the training facility. A room block has been secured at this property with a special rate of $129-$159 a night. **Members discount cost for course attendance will apply only to individual BOAL members. All other participants are required to pay the course fee rate for non-members, EXCEPT where a jurisdiction is providing substantial assistance in putting on a course AND there is prior written agreement to consequent special terms for the attendance of its employees. *With the exception of a BOAL cancelled event, refunds will only be issued if the attendee provides written notice no less than two weeks prior to the event. No refund or credit will be provided for registrant no-shows.
